SAL with a Friend

I am doing this SAL with a dear friend.  As you can see I am making progress, some what.  I don't like the color I used for her eyes....so I will have to yank them out (ouch!) and re-do them.

I am very slow at cross stitching, but I do find that I still enjoy doing it from time to time.  Here is the link to find this awesome pattern by Lori from Notforgotten Farm, she rocks and take a look around her site, she also does punch needle and all other kinds of fun stuff.  If you visit her site, please leave her a comment....we all love comments (hint, hint).

I am coming towards the end of my knitted shawl, but it's been so hot that it's really hard to have the desire to knit...so that is sort of hanging out for when it gets a little cooler again. I have started to work on various crochet doilies that I had started a while back....the moment I pulled the thread through the very first chain my entire body went "Ahhhhh"....I am telling you, that I know without a doubt that crochet is my "thing"....all the other stuff is fun, but crochet....well, that is truly where my seems to return to.  :)

Today it's a glorious day outside...the sky is a vivid blue, the sun is out and all the leaves are on the trees and the flowers are lifting up their little blooms towards Heaven...gosh, it's a wonderful day.

I wish you all a most blessed day filled with much joy sweet friends.  :)

  3. She is so cute and I think her eyes are beautiful! :-) I know what you mean about crochet. Although it is my first love and I always enjoy it, I've now done so much knitting that it is a similar feeling.
    Blessings,
