I am making good progress on the V-Day heart for Hubs. I have been working my fingers to the bone trying to get it stitched (ok, not really, but it sounded really dramatic didn't it!).
I have been wanting to knit...my shawl is calling me from across the room. I keep telling it, "soon, very soon." I don't want to do anything else but the V-Day heart until it's all finished so I can make the Feb 14th dead-line.
Still have no idea what I'll make this into...I thought about a box that Hubs could put stuff in and leave it on our dresser, so it looks pretty and then hides stuff, too. Not sure yet....
I might have to go out there and hunt down a Valentine Candy box that is close in size and then put this on top ( I saw this cool heart shaped box that was made to look like it was made from a football, so I had to get that for him, since he's such a huge football fan.). He's a little sad right now, too because football season is over. I offered to teach him to knit...the look on his face was priceless! :)
Hmmmm since I've already got him a box of candy for V-day...if I do find another heart shaped box that fits the stitchery...I guess I'll just have to eat all the candy inside so he can have the empty box. Wow, the things I do for love. :)
Sending you all many stitches of love.

The heart is beautiful and you have made such wonderful progress! You'll finish it for sure. A box-topper would be nice...have seen some pretty ones on blogs and having to eat all the extra candy sounds like a plan! However you choose to finish it, I know it will be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteHappy stitching!
I am kind of giddy from all your sweet praise....compared to your awesome stitching, mine is so far from the mark, but I treasure your words all the same dear friend. :)
DeleteSending blessings out to you today and always. :)
That heart looks really good!! I offered to teach my hubby how to hook..he just looked at me with a really weird look...Have an awesome day. Blessings
ReplyDeleteYou deserve all the candy if you have made him that beautiful heart. I am sure he would understand.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,

The heart is just beautiful and how quickly you are doing this! Your needle must be smokin'. Such sacrifce ... having to eat that candy! I so admire you. Smacking my lips as I think of devouring that luscious chocolate. Blessings sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteYour heart is just gorgeous, and the one you stitched too! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL!! I'm still laughing about the look on your hubby's face when you offered to teach him to knit!! I think mine's face would mirror his!! ;) Your heart is coming along beautifully! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe heart is looking so pretty, and yes, you do need to eat any chocolates that you might buy. Too much chocolate just isn't good for hubby's health you know.
ReplyDeleteOh, did you ever have me giggling with this post! You eat that chocolate, Girl! You deserve it! I hope you do find just the right box; I think that's an awesome idea, even if the box is empty. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful project! I love hearts!
