Hi-de-ho! It's 16 degrees out side!

Last night we enjoyed a balmy 12 degrees accompanied with snow and then a light drizzle which quickly froze and left "black ice" all over the road ways and sidewalks. Fun stuff! NOT.

Did I ever happen to mention that I really hate winter...no really. When I lived in Florida and we had winter, you know down to 40 something degrees and we all thought we were gonna freeze to death, I hated it then, too. I just don't do winter. Spring, Summer and Fall...yeah, Winter. No!

I am of course enjoying the view of my back yard, which just happens to be covered in a "dusting" of snow, the sky is blue, and the few clouds that I see are white and the sun is finally shinning. So we all hold our breath in hopes of seeing the upper 20's today. Yay. A heat wave!  :)

I hope where ever you are today you are warm and dry and get lots of time to do the things you love. Wishing you a lovely day and weekend, too.     :)

    1. I'll trade you your frost with the lovely sandy beaches near by, for my balmy 16 degrees any time! :) We'll do a house swap. You come live here, I'll go live there....on second thought, you stay there and I'll come to visit and we can hit the yarn shops and then go knit/crochet at the beach!

Hugs and blessings always dear friend.

  2. Hello, cold here too..I used my sunroom as a refrigerator last night. Seriously I did. Remember no kitchen floor not supposed to walk on it today and tomorrow maybe sunday? No cooking..yeah it is all coming back to you..if not go visit my blog. I am not a winter person either. My sister lives in Tampa..I think I am going to go redneck and go camp in her back yard next winter..she has a pool. Blessings

    1. Ok, I just can't picture you going "redneck"! But if you are heading to Florida, you must swing by and pick me up! I have already clicked my heals three times with my eyes closed repeating, "no place like home, no place like home, no place like home"...yeah, I open my eyes and what do I see...Man boobs next door sliding down his driveway in a pair of what looks like pajamas and a robe that has seen better days like 10 years ago! But I digress.

Bottom line....I miss Florida, the warmth...the beaches...ahhh does any body have a tissue?

      Blessings always dear friend.

  3. Good morning!! Hope you are thawing out. Would you believe that the past two days we had spring ... 58 degrees, following single digits numbers from last week, but alas today we are returning to the coldness. Wish it would make up its minds. Hope you have a lovely day and weekending, abundant blessings.

  4. It's cold here as well. It was 8 this morning, but the sun is shining and we'll get the fire going later today so it will be cozy. We also got a bit of snow; just enough to cover everything. Hope your weekend is warm and you get to enjoy some crafty time. Heather

  8. Work, work, work, nothing but work, but I do see the beautiful blue skies out my window.

I hope it warms up for you this weekend. Made me laugh when you complained about winter in Florida! I guess that would have been somewhat akin to my winters in New Mexico!

  10. I live in the winter country and believe me, I know what cold is. What about -30 eh? 12 degrees feels like a spring to me!

  11. I know what you mean about hating winter! I do as well, but even at 30 degrees, I really shouldn't complain. We lived in NH and ME and that's the winters I don't miss in the least. It didn't take us long down here in NC to get adjusted to the warmer temps though, and now we're cold at 50 degrees. I guess you could say that we've tuned into big wimps!

    You have a wonderful weekend.

  12. I'm like you -- 40 here is downright chilly. Thankfully our temps are climbing up thought when they get really hot I won't be so thankful. I just spent 7 hours cleaning. The weather is so strange that we are having a major mildew problem in places you can't even imagine. I tried to air things out as much as I could today. Sad part is, even after 7 hours, I barely made a dent in all the things that need to be done. Oh well! Sending warm wishes your way, Tammy
