Steamy hot date.......

Yeah, you read that right. I have a steamy hot date for lunch. Oh, it's not who you expect at all.

I plan on getting there a little early, you know what they say about the early bird and the worm, right?

I've already planned what I am wearing....it's gonna be a super special date, trust me.

And just where am I going you ask?

Oh, I am taking my new shawl pattern out on a lunch date. Just me and the pattern, sitting around chilling until my food arrives at the table.  I might let Hubby tag along if he can get off from work, not sure yet...

And then after lunch, I plan on heading to the yarn shop to fondle every single yarn I can get my grubby little paws on. Why do I say fondle you ask? Oh, so glad you did. For you see, I don't just go up to a yarn skein and touch it...I have to pick it up, put it next to my cheek and see if it passes the soft test, if it does (and mind you there can't be a lot of wool in it) then I go a step further. I start checking out it's label. Yeah, I am wild and crazy that way, I know!

Now you see why I leave Hubby in the car? I am not sure he'd understand. But you all do I know!

So my fellow yarnies, if you need me, I will be oc-co-pod-o....don't try to text me...I won't answer, I feel it's my duty to give the yarn my fullest attention.

Of course every time I walk in a yarn shop I have this fantasy of taking all my clothes off and just rolling around in the yarn. Yeah, let's all say EWWWWW together. I can't help it, my twisted mind just works that way. And don't for a moment think I am the only one who wants to do this either.

You know if my hooks and needles talk to me here at home, then when I go into yarn shops all that stuff talks to me, too. I have decided however, to keep the above mentioned nudity romp to myself and not let the yarn know what could be in its future...just saying.

Ok, now that I have totally grossed you all out...I am off to mingle!

  3. Hmmm, interesting thought about rolling around in the yarn. What a way to test for softness and how wonderful that could feel. Enjoy the mingle! Can't wait to see the shawl. Happy to have you back. Blessings.

  5. You and I are on the same page, I believe I said something recently about taking a bath in Cascade Eco Duo if I could.... Not only do I put the yarn up to my cheek, I also smell it. It has to pass the smell test.
Can you show us what you bought?
    Hugs to you,
    Meredith
