Ok, so I am knitting again.....

 I started this shawl.

I am using the yarn brand called for but not the color way...I am using the color way petunia. It's really pretty with pink and purples and a gradual transition into each color way.  I am using size 8 knitting needles and I am really enjoying this knit.  Yeah, I know, I am suppose to be doing more crochet, so why am I knitting?  You know I never do what I am "suppose" to do!

I am a very slow knitter, so it will be a while before I can post any pictures...but it's a very enjoyable knit.

One thing I have loved about this shawl is that the designer used a very clever way of adding texture to this design. This is mostly a stocking-net shawl...knit on one side, purl on the other...which after a while you basically fall into a trance...but this design has a few rows that add a design element that keeps your interest up, at least for me any-who.

I am also going to start this soon.  It's the red heart in the upper right corner that I am talking about. I bought some DMC Color Variations floss in a deep red that I think will look really nice.

I hope you are all doing the things you love today and that you have a super great weekend, too.  Wishing you all many stitches of love.

  1. I just want to know where you put all your UFP's. I know you must have a few (cough, cough). You know those UnFinished Projects are just screaming..I can hear them all the way to my house. One of them is crying out, "Just pull the string..Just pull the string." And you thought it was just the hooks and needles crying out..shame shame.. I stopped by here cause I need you to tell me to say NO..I saw a wonderful runner pattern Annie's Attic.. Hey have a great weekend and stay warm..Blessings my friend

    1. Hmmmm runner? Annie's Attic? I say YES go for it! What's another project? Besides, UFO's are like potato chips, you can't have just one!

Oh, and I learned a new thing...if you frogged your UFO..you have a new skein of yarn and no pesky UFO to bother you! It's great fun.

Hugs and blessings always dear friend. :)

  2. What you should be doing is whatever you want to do...crochet, knit, cross stitch or anything else. What we shouldn't be doing is cleaning...I think we should make it a rule.
    Hugs to you,

  3. I think it's always best to have a few UFO's at a time. That way they don't get lonely. :)

I've just started a new knitting project while my half finished crochet project sits staring meaningfully at my from my basket ....

Can't wait to see some pictures of your shawl!!
    :)
