It's happening again....

There I was minding my own beeswax and then it happened. You know, it keeps happening to me and a smarter person would take the necessary precautions to prevent this from happening all the time, but hey, the only time I've been called smart was followed by another word that I can't use in mixed company.

Anywho, I was looking at all the web pages for the crochet magazines and then I saw the new issue of Crochet Today will be out in February. It looks like a really cool issue, but....no body move....you've gotta take a gander at this.....go ahead, I'll wait. I got the shiver me timbers when I saw this. It's beautiful. Let's say it all together beeeeuuuuteeeefullll (my spell check is having a cow right now, he, he).

I am on a yarn diet. I know, is that not the most heinous word you have ever heard. First of all,  we all know that diet is just die with a T, but seriously, a yarn...YARN...diet? I know it's pretty sad.

The stash continues to grow, but the house does not...so I thought it might be fun to try to use the stash this year. I do, however, have a slight problem.  Almost all of my yarn is worsted weight, and I only have three skeins of the Stardust that I bought way back when to make something (who remembers now) I think it was a knit something, but that was so long ago. It's hard enough to remember what I had for breakfast (hmmm, did I have breakfast?) but I digress.

I am waiting for the Mister to get my camera cord thingie working again so I can post pics. I have a lovely pic of the ripple afghan to show you. I will warn you now, it's in really brite colors, no it should be spelled that way, trust me, you'll see why soon.

As I sit here and watch the sky grow darker the wind is picking up a bit, and the the rain is starting to tap on my window...it's a lovely day to crochet. I am headed to the sofa for a bit of hooky fun.

Wishing you all many stitches of love.  :)

What a lovely shawl! Forget about a yarn diet and enjoy all of that beautiful yarn! I love the previous post about the 'lady in pajamas'! Cell phones are great but there is a time and place to use them. Happy crocheting!

Oh my gosh ... I have to run out and buy that Crochet Today mag ... this may just be enough for me to get a subscription again! As for me, I must have the yarn tucked away somewhere for this. I am trying so hard to stay within stash limits, but we'll see. Your writings always bring a smile to my face, I think you need to do a column somewhere. You'd have a huge following! Have a wonderful evening, lots of blessings.

Oh that shawl is stunning- so stunning that I think you need a special dispensation to purchase the necessary yarn to make it. The good Lord would want you to be happy and that should do the trick. And you will be stimulating the economy and no one can tell you that isn't needed!! Rotten weather here too so I think you've exhibited the proper behavior- stay inside and keep being crafty!
